Beginning on Thursday, March 4th, the school day will be lengthened, running from 8:00AM until 3:00PM. Drop off times may vary by school, so please check your schools Facebook page, website, or Schoology pages for more information. In person learners will still attend on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday while Wednesday will still be a distance learning day. If your student takes part in Lewis County Distance Learning, please know that communication with your teachers may take a little longer because they will have students in their classrooms for longer than they have previously. If you have any further questions, please contact your childs school. To prevent widespread illness in the school, we ask that your student stay home if they are sick. Keep your student at home if he or she has any of these symptoms: Fever (greater than 100 degrees), vomiting (even once), diarrhea, chills, loss of taste and or smell, shortness of breath, feelings of fatigue, weakness or muscle aches, congestion (wet) or croupy cough. A healthcare provider should be contacted for a diagnosis. Distance learning students who are planning to return to in-person instruction need to contact your students school and notify them by Friday, November 6th. If youve already filled out the survey, or contacted your students school, you DO NOT need to make contact again. These students will be brought in with smaller numbers to teach them our COVID-19 protocols. Your students school will contact you with more information. The Lewis County Board of Education voted to have the, middle school and high school, in-person learning students return to school for 4 days a week. This change will go into effect on Monday, November 16th. Group 1 and Group 2 students will now attend on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday.
