Responsibilities **JOB DESCRIPTION** We are in search of a Mechanical Design Engineer with a strong background in design engineering. The candidate will provide engineering solutions to a diverse range of complex technical problems throughout LLE. The ideal candidate will have in-depth knowledge of machine component design, materials, knowledge of manufacturing processes and experience with complex mechanical systems. Experience in opto-mechanics, precision mechanics, tool and fixture design, high vacuum systems, heat transfer, motion control, and/or precision metrology is desired. **KEY RESPONSIBILITIES** + Develop conceptual and detailed designs of mechanical parts and assemblies based on project requirements. + Provide supporting safety and engineering analyses as required. + Prepare materials for engineering design reviews. + Prepare technical drawings in compliance with industry standards. + Work both independently and as a part of a multidisciplinary team. **MINIMUM QUALIFICATION

Job Summary: Provides technical support for new and existing tooling and fixturing in order to ensure the most economical, efficient and practical methods are incorporated into the tool/fixture design.
