RICO was formed in the industrial heartland of New South Wales, Australia in 1965. The company began as a fabricator and installer of high-pressure pipe systems and grew into a major supplier to the power, marine, and chemical industries, offering new technologies and a wide range of plant services. The culmination of this was the building of a CHP Plant in Australia in 1998. RICO Industrial Services was established in the UK in 1990 under the direction of the RICO Group of Companies to fulfil a requirement of the power industry for condenser tube cleaning using a new up-to-date fully patented product-the Phosphor Bronze Mechanical Scraper. In 1994 RICO Industrial Services was approached by some of its clients in the UK to provide a wider range of products and services. We responded to this by reorganising the management structure and supplier base. From 1995 we expanded our business to accommodate the needs of our customers, and a new management profile was established, enhancing an overall package of work within Condensers, Heat Exchangers, Coolers, Pipework, in fact any application of tubes and pipes. This advancement into project management and larger contracts has established RICO Industrial Services as the largest, tube and pipe service company in the UK, and most certainly the busiest. Using just our mechanical scraper system we have cleaned well over Two Million Condenser Tubes in the last three years.
