Waypoint's staff have received training in outdoor leadership through the following institutions: UNH - Outdoor Education, Montreat College - Outdoor Education, Gordon College - Recreation, Sport and Wellness, American Mountain Guide Association, Professional Climbing Instructors Association, SOLO Wilderness Medical School, National Outdoor Leadership School, Leave No Trace Center for Outdoor Ethics and the American Canoe Association. Waypoint Adventure helps to make programs accessible through a variety of cognitive and physical supports including: differentiated instruction, off-road wheelchairs, skit-skis, adaptive kayaksand adaptive rock climbing harnesses and ascending systems. Participants join Waypoint programs through a variety of reputable schools and organizations including Boston Public Schools, Perkins School for the Blind, Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital, Cotting School, May Institute, and Boston University Center for Psychiatric Rehabilitation.
