Requirements and Responsibilities

Accounts Payable/Receivable Supervisor supervises activities in the accounts payable/receivable function. Ensures timely payments of vendor invoices and expense vouchers, maintains accurate records and control reports. Being an Accounts Payable/Receivable Supervisor negotiates with past due accounts, ensures outstanding account balance. Maintains cash receipts and refers accounts to collection agencies. Additionally, Accounts Payable/Receivable Supervisor suggests improvements to accounts payable/receivable processes. Requires a bachelor's degree of accounting or finance. Typically reports to a manager. The Accounts Payable/Receivable Supervisor supervises a small group of para-professional staff in an organization characterized by highly transactional or repetitive processes.
