Clinical Informatics Analyst II designs, implements, maintains, and analyzes data from clinical informatics systems. Implements electronic health record (EHR) systems, bed management systems, computerized physician order entry systems, or any other relevant health information systems. Being a Clinical Informatics Analyst II analyzes data produced by these systems to identify trends and areas for improvement and to ensure systems are functioning properly. Evaluates and recommends improvements to systems. Additionally, Clinical Informatics Analyst II may provide staff training on new or updated systems. Typically requires a bachelor's degree in informatics and/or nursing. Typically reports to a manager. The Clinical Informatics Analyst II occasionally directed in several aspects of the work. Gaining exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function. To be a Clinical Informatics Analyst II typically requires 2-4 years of related experience.
