Data Center Technician II installs, maintains, and repairs the hardware and physical infrastructure of a data center facility to ensure the performance, availability, and security of data. Follows established procedures to troubleshoot, repair, or upgrade servers, storage systems, and other data center equipment. Being a Data Center Technician II documents and maintains comprehensive records of environmental conditions to track and ensure optimal temperature, humidity, and power supply to prevent downtime and protect hardware from damage. May require a bachelor's degree. Additionally, Data Center Technician II typically reports to a supervisor. The Data Center Technician II works independently within established procedures associated with the specific job function. Has gained proficiency in multiple competencies relevant to the job. To be a Data Center Technician II typically requires 3-5 years of related experience.
