Requirements and Responsibilities

Data Security Analyst IV designs, implements, and enforces security policies that protect systems and data from access by unauthorized users. Creates procedures for data access, protection, and backup. Being a Data Security Analyst IV investigates security violations and modifies procedures to prevent future incursions. Reviews changes to information systems to ensure compliance with security standards. Additionally, Data Security Analyst IV may supervise and guide the work of lower-level data security analysts. Typically requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. Data Security Analyst IV is a specialist on complex technical and business matters. Work is highly independent. May assume a team lead role for the work group. To be a Data Security Analyst IV typically requires 7+ years of related experience.
