Drafter II provides routine drafting support, prepares various drawings and schematics derived from a variety of specifications, layouts, blueprints and sketches. Utilizes established techniques, standards and tools like computer aided drafting software to prepare technical drawings. Being a Drafter II coordinates and consults with engineers or designers to complete projects. May require an associate degree. Additionally, Drafter II typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The Drafter II occasionally directed in several aspects of the work. Gains exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function. To be a Drafter II typically requires 2 -4 years of related experience.
