Requirements and Responsibilities

Drafter IV provides drafting support for high complexity or unique projects, prepares various drawings and schematics derived from a variety of specifications, layouts, blueprints and sketches. Utilizes established techniques, standards and tools like computer aided drafting software to prepare technical drawings. Being a Drafter IV collaborates with engineers or designers to complete and contribute to projects. Makes recommendations, prioritizes drafting work, and acts as advisor to other drafters on advanced methods and techniques. Additionally, Drafter IV may require an associate degree. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The Drafter IV work is highly independent. May assume a team lead role for the work group. A specialist on complex technical and business matters. To be a Drafter IV typically requires 7+ years of related experience.
