EEO Specialist administers equal employment opportunity and affirmative action programs to promote diversity in the workplace. Helps develop and communicate company EEO policies and procedures. Being an EEO Specialist participates in discrimination investigations and workforce evaluations. Maintains records of workforce demographics. Additionally, EEO Specialist ensures organizational compliance with laws and regulations. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager. The EEO Specialist gains exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function. Occasionally directed in several aspects of the work. To be an EEO Specialist typically requires 2 to 4 years of related experience.
