Requirements and Responsibilities

Ethics & Compliance Business Unit Specialist coordinates and participates in the corporation's risk management program to assess, prioritize, and manage legal and regulatory compliance risks based on Federal Sentencing Guidelines requirements. Implements the corporation's ethics and compliance program throughout the business unit. Being an Ethics & Compliance Business Unit Specialist assist in the preparation of communication and distribution of materials to all personnel. Participates in creating the most appropriate methods for maintaining employee awareness of the program and pertinent laws or regulations pertaining to the organization's business. Additionally, Ethics & Compliance Business Unit Specialist monitors allegations of unethical activity, including violations of Sarbanes Oxley, through evaluation of risk and identification of solutions. May require a bachelor's degree in area of specialty. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. To be an Ethics & Compliance Business Unit Specialist typically requires 2 to 4 years of related experience. Gains exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function. Occasionally directed in several aspects of the work.
