Requirements and Responsibilities

Production Maintenance Supervisor supervises a staff of facilities maintenance workers who perform maintenance service and repairs in the areas of plumbing, carpentry, painting, plastering, and machine and electrical servicing for the organization's facilities. Helps develop facilities maintenance procedures. Being a Production Maintenance Supervisor monitors procedures and equipment to ensure efficiency and effectiveness. May require a bachelor's degree. Additionally, Production Maintenance Supervisor typically reports to Manager or Head of a Unit/Department. The Production Maintenance Supervisor supervises a small group of para-professional staff in an organization characterized by highly transactional or repetitive processes.
