Requirements and Responsibilities

Floor Assembler I assembles fabricated parts, components or units at floor stations. Tests and calibrates parts and mechanisms to meet tolerances and product specifications. Being a Floor Assembler I uses hand tools and power tools to assemble units according to product specifications. Identifies units that fail tests or tolerance levels and repairs as necessary. Additionally, Floor Assembler I may be required to complete an apprenticeship or on the job training. Requires a high school diploma or its equivalent. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Floor Assembler I possesses a moderate understanding of general aspects of the job. Works under the close direction of senior personnel in the functional area. May require 0-1 year of general work experience.
