Floor Assembler III assembles fabricated parts, components or units at floor stations. Tests and calibrates parts and mechanisms to meet tolerances and product specifications. Being a Floor Assembler III uses hand tools and power tools to assemble units according to product specifications. Identifies units that fail tests or tolerance levels and repairs as necessary. Additionally, Floor Assembler III usually works on the more precise and complicated assemblies. May assist less experienced team members with knowledge and expertise. May be required to complete an apprenticeship and/or formal training in area of specialty. Requires a high school diploma or its equivalent. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Floor Assembler III has gained proficiency in multiple competencies relevant to the job. Works independently within established procedures associated with the specific job function. To be a Floor Assembler III typically requires 3-5 years of related experience.
