Floor Assembly Supervisor I supervises and coordinates employees who assemble fabricated parts, components or units at floor stations. Prepares work schedules, assigns work, and oversees the work product. Being a Floor Assembly Supervisor I ensures conformance to established procedures and product quality levels. Identifies units that fail tests or tolerance levels and supervise repairs as necessary. Additionally, Floor Assembly Supervisor I may require a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. May require completion of an apprenticeship and/or formal training in area of specialty. Working team member that may validate or coordinate the work of others on a support team. Suggests improvements to process, is a knowledge resource for other team members. Has no authority for staff actions. Generally has a minimum of 2 years experience as an individual contributor. Thorough knowledge of the team processes.
