Requirements and Responsibilities

Grant Administration Senior Manager manages the administration and financial control of grant activity throughout the grant lifecycle for grants either awarded or received to ensure compliance with grant provisions, regulations, and reporting requirements. Monitors grantee management and disbursement of grant funds for grants that are being awarded. Being a Grant Administration Senior Manager reviews grantee programs for compliance with the terms of grants and verifies that the funds are being allocated appropriately. For grants received, oversees all financial reporting and accounting related to the grant funding. Additionally, Grant Administration Senior Manager tracks expenses and performs reconciliations related to grant accounts. Compiles and submits any data or documentation required by the grant funder. Ensures that the organization follows grant accounting best practices and complies with legal regulations. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a director. The Grant Administration Senior Manager typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. To be a Grant Administration Senior Manager typically requires 3+ years of managerial experience. Capable of resolving escalated issues arising from operations and requiring coordination with other departments.
