Grants/Proposal Writer develops resources, researches funding sources, and writes proposals to a variety of organizations. Prepares contract proposals in accordance with business goals and objectives, administers major contracts, documents. Being a Grants/Proposal Writer assists in monitoring proposal process, ensures funder's policies and legal requirements are followed. May negotiate contractual provisions with potential partners. Additionally, Grants/Proposal Writer requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The Grants/Proposal Writer gains exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function. Occasionally directed in several aspects of the work.
