Requirements and Responsibilities

Innovation Senior Manager advances the vision, strategy, and thinking methodologies used to innovate new products and services, introduce novel or disruptive ideas, improve existing processes, and create a culture of innovation within the company. Embraces an innovation strategy to define objectives and measures aligned with overall company goals that add value to stakeholders. Being an Innovation Senior Manager implements innovation projects and oversees resources and budgets. Works with partners or alliances on initiatives that support innovation. Additionally, Innovation Senior Manager collaborates with internal teams and provides training resources to promote a culture of innovation that encourages and supports experimentation and rewards new ideas and ways of thinking. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a director. The Innovation Senior Manager typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. To be an Innovation Senior Manager typically requires 3+ years of managerial experience. Capable of resolving escalated issues arising from operations and requiring coordination with other departments.
