Requirements and Responsibilities

Applications Engineer I reviews customers' technical needs and assists higher level engineers in developing specific product/service solutions to meet these needs. Estimates project costs and consults with the sales force on routine technical matters, ensuring that proposed solutions can be integrated with current systems and equipment. Being an Applications Engineer I works with engineers from various departments to resolve problems that arise during and after implementation. May perform sales presentations to prospective customers. Additionally, Applications Engineer I may conduct user training. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Applications Engineer I works on projects/matters of limited complexity in a support role. Work is closely managed. To be an Applications Engineer I typically requires 0-2 years of related experience.
