Requirements and Responsibilities

Maintenance Planner schedules maintenance programs and processes for an assigned plant or production facility to minimize impact on production. Evaluates the need for replacement parts and places orders. Being a Maintenance Planner schedules maintenance staff. Plans for interruptions in work and develops backup plans. Additionally, Maintenance Planner may require a bachelor's degree or its equivalent. Typically reports to a Plant Manager. Maintenance Planner is a specialist on complex technical and business matters. Work is highly independent. May assume a team lead role for the work group. To be a Maintenance Planner typically requires 7+ years of related experience.
