Requirements and Responsibilities

Market Research Supervisor III supervises activities in the market research department. Ensures appropriate use of analytic techniques to determine demand for products and services. Being a Market Research Supervisor III interprets and predicts consumer trends, formulates research and development proposals, and monitors research projects. A level III supervisor has full authority and may be considered lower middle management. Additionally, Market Research Supervisor III may require a bachelor's degree in area of specialty. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The Market Research Supervisor III supervises a group of primarily para-professional level staffs. May also be a level above a supervisor within high volume administrative/ production environments. Makes day-to-day decisions within or for a group/small department. Has some authority for personnel actions. Thorough knowledge of department processes. To be a Market Research Supervisor III typically requires 3-5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor.
