Plant Maintenance Manager directs the maintenance programs and processes of the assigned plant(s) to ensure timely and effective production. Coordinates with other management staff to ensure efficiency in preventative maintenance and new equipment installation. Being a Plant Maintenance Manager oversees facilities design and inspection, equipment repair and installation. May require a bachelor's degree. Additionally, Plant Maintenance Manager typically reports to a head of unit/department. The Plant Maintenance Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. Extensive knowledge of department processes. To be a Plant Maintenance Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 to 3 years supervisory experience may be required.
