Requirements and Responsibilities
Power Plant Operator V monitors and maintains plant equipment to ensure that power plant power delivery operations function within specification. Controls and repairs power generating facilities and systems to produce bioenergy, hydro, nuclear, solar, thermal or wind power, etc. May require an associate degree. Being a Power Plant Operator V typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Power Plant Operator V has a wide and comprehensive understanding of both general and specific aspects of the job. Is capable of working on complex problems and exceptions without direct supervision. To be a Power Plant Operator V typically requires 7+ years of related experience.
