Production Maintenance Technician II performs preventive maintenance and skilled repairs on complex production equipment and systems (e.g., mechanical, electrical). Evaluates and recommends equipment improvements to improve efficiency, capability and yield. Being a Production Maintenance Technician II performs equipment failure analyses (including preventive and unscheduled maintenance). Troubleshoots and diagnoses equipment problems. Additionally, Production Maintenance Technician II prepares technical reports to document equipment modifications and equipment maintenance procedures. Oversee and review the work of lower-level technicians. Requires a high school diploma. Typically reports to supervior or manager. The Production Maintenance Technician II works under moderate supervision. Gains or has attained full proficiency in a specific area of discipline. To be a Production Maintenance Technician II typically requires 1-3 years of related experience, or may need 0 years of experience with additional specialized training and/or certification.
