Reporter II researches a variety of news stories through interviews, observation, and library and/or online resources. Determines tone and intended audience of story. Being a Reporter II develops, investigates, and writes a variety of news stories. Validates news story leads. Additionally, Reporter II may require a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Reporter II gains exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function. Occasionally directed in several aspects of the work. To be a Reporter II typically requires 2 to 4 years of related experience.
