Requirements and Responsibilities

Reporter III researches, develops, investigates and writes a variety of news stories through interviews, observation, and library and/or online resources. Determines tone and intended audience of story. Being a Reporter III validates sources and news story leads. May be involved in special assignments and investigative articles. Additionally, Reporter III may require a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Reporter III contributes to moderately complex aspects of a project. Work is generally independent and collaborative in nature. To be a Reporter III typically requires 4 to 7 years of related experience.
