Screens and transfers calls, arranges meetings and compiles basic information for routine reports or other materials. Being a Secretary III deals with more complex enquiries from other secretarial staff. May distribute mail, handle travel accommodations and maintain office supplies. Additionally, Secretary III has advanced word processing, spreadsheet, and graphics software skills. Requires a high school diploma. The Secretary III works independently within established procedures associated with the specific job function. Has gained proficiency in multiple competencies relevant to the job. To be a Secretary III typically requires 3-5 years of related experience, or may need 2 years experience with additional specialized training and/or certification.
