Requirements and Responsibilities

Security Supervisor III supervises a team of security personnel. Inspects buildings and grounds to ensure protection from intruders, fire hazards, theft, and vandalism. Being a Security Supervisor III develops emergency procedures, responds to incidents, and resolves problems or requests assistance of local authorities. Typically reports to a manager. Additionally, Security Supervisor III typically requires an associate degree. The Security Supervisor III supervises a group of primarily para-professional level staffs. May also be a level above a supervisor within high volume administrative/ production environments. Makes day-to-day decisions within or for a group/small department. Has some authority for personnel actions. Thorough knowledge of department processes. To be a Security Supervisor III typically requires 3-5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor.
