Requirements and Responsibilities

Shop Service Technician, Sr. removes, installs, diagnoses, repairs, disassembles, assembles and performs failure analyses of all heavy equipment including engines, hydraulics, and transmissions. Must be competent in fuel systems, engine groups, failure analysis. Being a Shop Service Technician, Sr. requires a high school diploma or its equivalent. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. To be a Shop Service Technician, Sr. typically requires 1-3 years of related experience. May be entry level if some experience in the skill. Gains or has attained full proficiency in a specific area of discipline. Works under moderate supervision.
