Requirements and Responsibilities

Terminal Manager - Large manages the operations of a large storage/distribution terminal (bulk, package, or both) associated with a plant. Directs loading, unloading, monitoring, and maintenance activities. Being a Terminal Manager - Large ensures all delivery schedules are met and communicates any changes or delays to shippers and customers. Utilizes all required safety policies, regulations, procedures and equipment to ensure secure and safe operations. Additionally, Terminal Manager - Large prepares all required reports of activity and metrics. May require a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a head of unit/department. The Terminal Manager - Large typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. Capable of resolving escalated issues arising from operations and requiring coordination with other departments. To be a Terminal Manager - Large typically requires 3+ years of managerial experience.
