Requirements and Responsibilities

Truck Service Technician, Sr. troubleshoots, diagnoses, repairs, reconditions, and services truck engine systems and components. Communicates findings and recommendations to customer and management. Being a Truck Service Technician, Sr. must be competent in fuel systems, engine groups, and failure analysis. Requires a high school diploma or its equivalent. Additionally, Truck Service Technician, Sr. typically reports to a supervisor or manager. To be a Truck Service Technician, Sr. typically requires 1-3 years of related experience. May be entry level if some experience in the skill. Gains or has attained full proficiency in a specific area of discipline. Works under moderate supervision.
