Requirements and Responsibilities

Website Manager is responsible for development, implementation and maintenance of the infrastructure, hardware, and software utilized for the organization's website. Monitors web traffic, performance and capacity to identify, prevent and resolve issues. Being a Website Manager coordinates with stakeholders to ensure that the site provides content and functionality that meet the business needs of the organization. Maintains appropriate security and troubleshoots any issues. Additionally, Website Manager requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a head of a unit/department. The Website Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Website Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required. Extensive knowledge of the function and department processes.
