Requirements and Responsibilities

Wellness Program Manager manages and administers policies and programs to promote employee physical, mental, and/or financial health. Develops and implements a variety of wellness programs, including health screenings, weight management, smoking cessation, and healthy lifestyle coaching. Being a Wellness Program Manager oversees the production of educational materials and employee communications. May be responsible for administering employee surveys regarding wellness needs and managing onsite fitness facilities. Additionally, Wellness Program Manager requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a senior manager. The Wellness Program Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Wellness Program Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required. Extensive knowledge of the function and department processes.
