Job Description
Under the direction of the Assistant Vice President for Academic and Student Support Services, the Executive Director for Academic Success oversees general undergraduate Academic Success initiatives, the Cornerstone Program, the USDOE grant-funded TRIO Student Support Services Trio program, and all Tagge Center functions; coordinates tutoring and academic assistance initiatives with faculty; evaluates and reports on effectiveness of all academic success activities to Institutional Research & Effectiveness; coordinates undergraduate student success and retention initiatives; serves as a collaborative division head in the division of Academic and Student Support Services (along with the Dean of Students, the Title IX Coordinator & Institutional Compliance Officer, and the Executive Director for Counseling and Accessibility); collaborates with Academic Affairs to ensure academic success is integrated with faculty input and participation; manages budgets for all Tagge Center/academic success departments; recruits, evaluates, supervises, and monitors all academic success staff; operates within a broad framework of standard University policies and procedures; convenes the Academic Success Advisory Council and utilizes input provided therein to better Academic Success performance and outcomes; supervises supplemental instructional success services in a classroom environment to ensure success services meet the needs of groups of or individual students; schedules, evaluates, and conducts courses, trainings, and test review sessions; and fulfills other tasks and duties as assigned by the Assistant Vice President.
Required Qualifications
Terminal degree (or pursuit thereof); prior experience in higher education strongly preferred.
Preferred Qualifications
Prior experience in academic support, success, or related field; proven experience in data analytics.

Job Duties-
Oversee general undergraduate Academic Success initiatives, the Cornerstone Program, the USDOE grant-funded Student Support Services Trio program, and all Tagge Center functions;

implement, monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of operational procedures and activities of academic success

Design and oversee production of marketing and informational materials regarding Academic Success and its services

Recruit, supervise, evaluate, and direct the day-to-day operations and activities of academic success staff; advise staff members with respect to appropriate management of programs

Coordinate with other University staff and faculty to provide needed academic success initiatives

Develop and disseminate academic success information regarding services provided

Promote academic success services to faculty, administrators, students, and others

Coordinate communications between academic success and other University departments

Maintain the Academic Success and Tagge Center webpage

Provide professional development to individual staff members and/or groups of staff and academic tutors and participate in division head trainings

Maintain currency on developments in the field of academic success. Maintain required records of academic success services

Oversee the administration of required assessments and work with faculty and administration on new initiatives as requested

Keep required records on the operations of all academic success programs
