Academic Coach jobs in Florida

Essential Functions:

• Select and/or develop classroom curricula and selects textbooks for classroom instruction.
• Provide teachers with ongoing training on appropriate curriculum instruction and testing methods.
• Models lessons on state standards, character education, student leadership, and classroom management.
• Accommodates students with special needs and provides documented interventions.
• Collaborate and clearly communicate with parents/guardians, and other educators to assist the students.
• Coordinates state and federal testing as required.
• Demonstrate an understanding of the Imagine Schools Six Measures of Excellence in the execution of duties.
• Model positive character virtues and habits. Assist students in developing positive moral and performance character attributes.
• Perform other duties as assigned by Principal/School Leader.

Preferred Qualifications:

· Education: Masters degree in Education.

· Licenses & Certifications: State certification and endorsement in assigned area.

· Experience: 2-3 years successful teaching experience.

• Knowledge, Ability & Skills: Possesses excellent oral and written skills as well as strong analytical, leadership, project management and organizational skills. Knowledge of applicable federal and state regulations and statutes. Ability to communicate cooperatively and constructively with other staff, students and parents in a multi-cultural environment. Ability to remain pleasant and helpful under sometimes-stressful circumstances.
