Account Management Manager manages and develops sales plans for a team of account managers. Focuses on the long-term planning and selling of a variety of products, services, and/or solutions across multiple lines of business for a defined group of existing clients. Being an Account Management Manager ensures that account managers meet the ongoing needs of clients and prospects while accomplishing individual revenue goals. May be personally responsible for managing major accounts. Additionally, Account Management Manager may set sales targets or quotas. May make suggestions for product improvements or expanding sales channels. Typically requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a director. Position Objective
Responsible for the success of the Custom Fabrication Account Management team with emphasis on resourcing, budgeting, sales forecasting, and professional development.
Core Responsibilities
1. Plan and assign resources with the goal of providing a balanced workload for the team.
2. Communicate monthly sales planning, goals and results, as well as upcoming events, safety topics, and special assignments.
3. Analyze revenue and forecast goals including tracking team and individual performance.
4. Manage direct reports and their activities. This includes overall performance management; training and development; analyzing and resolving work problems.
5. Leverage sales expertise to be an advisor to the team for client management, sales projections, and contract negotiation.
6. Maintain the production budget template, working closely with Tech Design and Operations Leadership.
7. Focus on continuous improvement via feedback from and to Technical Design & Operations to meet client and company needs.
8. Oversee the hiring and orienting of new Custom Fabrication Account Management team members.
9. Lead team to achieve goals; promote and demonstrate effective communication and positive culture, etc.
10. Root cause department challenges and implement solutions to support the team and improve efficiency.
11. Establish team goals to meet or exceed sales expectations and develop a strategy for process improvement.
12. Be a role model to all employees that is positive and proactive towards challenges, while living ATOMICs core values.
13. Participate in the yearly budgeting process with Management. Support in monitoring the department spend with Management.
14. Maintain and grow list of partner shops and vendors.
15. Support in business development and new client relationships, as necessary.
16. Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by establishing, following, and enforcing appropriate standards and procedures and complying with those established by the Safety Committee.
