Duties and Responsibilities            

• Oversees Accounting operations, which include general ledger, payroll, accounts payable, and accounts receivable. 

• Supervises Montana based office staff and conducts performance evaluations.  

• Implements training for new hires and identifies training opportunities for current staff. 

• Oversees the system of internal controls over Accounting functions to minimize risk. 

• Handles discipline of employees as needed and in accordance with company policy.  

• Ensure accurate and timely posting of customer and vendor transactions 

• Post bank transactions 

• Comply and assist in development of accounting policies and procedures.  

• Identifies and recommends updates to accounting processes and procedures. 

• Assists in the yearly budget and quarterly forecast processes 

• Performs financial analysis and investigates discrepancies. 

• Reconciles bank and other general ledger accounts. 

• Performs other related duties as assigned. 

    

Basic Qualifications  

Required Skills/Abilities:  

• Extensive knowledge of accounting standards and reporting. 

• Excellent management and supervisory skills. 

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills. 

• Excellent organizational and time management skills. 

• Experience with accounting and ERP software. (Microsoft Dynamics preferred) 

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite. 

    

Education and Experience: 

• Associates degree in Accounting or Business Administration required 

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Business Administration preferred. 

• CPA, CMA or CFA preferred 

• Five years or more of related experience required.
