Position Summary

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Accountant to join our team at Bauer Built.  As an integral part of our finance department, the accountant will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with regulations, and providing valuable insights to support strategic decision-making.

Responsibilities:

• Record and maintain accurate financial transactions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger entries.
• Analyze financial data to identify trends, discrepancies, and opportunities for improvement.
• Prepare financial reports and forecasts to assist management in decision making processes.
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, and implement necessary adjustments to ensure compliance.
• Perform daily banking and credit card transaction reconciliation.
• Establish and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and prevent fraud.
• Prepare and file various personal property tax and sales tax returns.
• Provide financial insights and recommendations to support strategic decision-making.
• Communicate financial information effectively to stakeholders, including management, investors, and regulatory authorities.
• Utilize accounting software proficiently to streamline financial processes and ensure accuracy in reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
• Proven experience in accounting or related roles, with a strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Ethical conduct and integrity in handling confidential financial information.
