POSITION SUMMARY:

Are you ready to join a FOUR-time US Best Managed Company ?! Kent Nutrition Group, a member of the Kent Corporation family of companies is seeking a skilled and motivated finance professional to join our corporate finance department at our Muscatine, Iowa, corporate headquarters!

Reporting to the Director of Accounting, the candidate will play an important role on our team, supporting the daily and monthly accounting workflow and analysis.

PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Create and post monthly accruals, allocations, and journal entries for our departments, manufacturing and retail locations
• Maintain and reconcile balance sheet accounts
• Support ERP implementation
• Prepare and reconcile payroll entries using multiple systems
• Manage and complete ad hoc projects as requested

Compliance

• Assist with audit requests as part of internal operational audits and external annual reviews
• Ensure corporate document retention policies are maintained by department
• Review accounts payable invoices as submitted for processing

EDUCATION:

Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or related field, or equivalent experience

EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS:

• 4-6 years professional experience in financial analysis or accounting role preferred
• Experience with manufacturing/cost accounting is a plus
• Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office, with ability to learn new accounting systems
