This position maintains proper accounting records by accurately and efficiently computing, classifying, preparing, recording, and verifying financial data. Reports to Controller and Office Manager.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Prepare accounts receivable statements, reports and other records, and review for accuracy.
• Review check request support for proper approval and general ledger coding.
• Vendor tracking and invoice reconciliation as needed.
• Maintain receivable files, process vendor payments and returned checks.
• Verify and post all daily activity to include deposits, receivables, refunds, receipts, etc. to general ledger.
• Monitor receivable or payables to ensure payments and charges are processed in a timely manner and kept current.
• Run, review, balance and interpret reports daily and at month end.
• Post all incoming receivable checks.
• Insure that daily deposits are done in a timely manner.
• Reconcile report discrepancies and research problems.
• Input and reconcile general ledger account as assigned by Office Manager/ Controller
• Provide additional administrative support as needed.

REQUIREMENTS of the Accounting/ Bookkeeper:

• Automotive experience a plus
• Two years accounting or bookkeeping experience
• Exceptional written & oral communication skills
• Ability to multitask.
• Computer experience with Word, Excel, and Reynolds a plus
• HS Diploma/Equivalent
• Positive/Upbeat attitude
• MS Office/Windows Proficiency
• Background/Drug Screen
