Accounting Clerk jobs in New York, NY

Responsible for performing a variety of clerical functions which include but are not limited to ; Collection of Documentation, CMS Form follow up to make sure they are accurately completed, entering notes in systems (ie. EPIC) for documentation purposes. Conduct follow-up phone calls to patient/family members so as to ensure the efficient operation of the various departments within PFS, while maintaining all customer service and departmental guidelines. Responsible for maintain the flow of the waiting area (i.e. checking patient/family in, advising of wait time, and routing to appropriate resource for assistance.)

Education/Requirements:

High School Diploma or GED is a must with college course work preferred and experience in collection and/or insurance verification. Must be experienced in providing excellent customer service and problem escalation/resolution in high volume atmosphere. Candidates must have strong communication skills, both verbal and written; with excellent telephone and face to face communication. Must be able to work independently and get along with others.
