Accounting Clerk jobs in Springfield, OR

Olsson Industrial Electric seeks a full-time Accounting Clerk to join our dynamic team. The Accounting Clerk will perform a variety of accounting, bookkeeping and financial tasks, including the processing of purchase orders, customer invoicing, and payroll time entry. A successful Accounting Clerk should have some familiarity with accounting procedures and be proficient with computers, software and typing.

Responsibilities

• Ensure data is entered and managed with a high degree of accuracy
• Provide accounting and clerical support to the accounting department
• Type accurately, prepare and maintain accounting documents and records
• Reconcile accounts in a timely manner
• Daily entry of financial transactions in database
• Provide assistance and support to company personnel
• Research, track and restore accounting or documentation problems and discrepancies
• Function in accordance with established standards, procedures and applicable laws
• Constantly update job knowledge
• Perform other duties as required by the position

Requirements

• Familiarity with basic accounting procedures
• Ability to work well with a variety of personalities
• Competency in MS Office, databases and accounting software
• Hands-on experience with spreadsheets
• Accuracy and attention to detail
• Aptitude for numbers
• Ability to perform filing and record keeping tasks
• Data entry and word processing skills
• Well organized
• High school degree, associate degree or relevant certification is a plus
• Experience working in a busy construction office also a plus

Base pay is $22-$24 per hour, DOE.
