Accounting Director directs the operations and policies of an accounting function. Implements accounting policies and procedures that adhere to governmental, financial, and tax regulations and comply with GAAP and IFRS standards. Being an Accounting Director monitors and evaluates accounting systems and processes to identify areas for improvement and optimization. Oversees overall monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting close processes and reporting. Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Accounting to join our team. As the Director of Accounting, you will be responsible for overseeing all financial operations and ensuring compliance with accounting principles and regulations. This is a key leadership role that requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to effectively communicate financial information to stakeholders.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement financial policies, procedures, and controls
- Manage the general ledger accounting functions, including account reconciliation and journal entries
- Conduct cash flow analysis and provide recommendations for improving cash management
- Oversee the preparation of financial statements, reports, and budgets
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and financial reporting standards

Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (MBA degree , CMA or CPA certification preferred)
- Minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in accounting or finance roles
- Extensive knowledge of financial concepts, corporate finance, and technical accounting principles
- Experience in construction cost accounting
- Strong proficiency in financial management systems and software (Office 365 and Sage Intacct)
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong leadership abilities with the capability to effectively manage a team
