Accounting Manager

Location: 100% On-Site in our Syosset, NY Headquarters

Role Summary:

The Accounting Manager will report to the Corporate Controller and will supervise the Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions. Using your leadership skills, you will oversee current processes, and ensure the continuity and efficiency of new processes, while offering insight and feedback to Management, as necessary. Supervision of team members, management of employee workload, and monitoring employee output for timeliness and accuracy will be required.

We are eager to speak with professionals who possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance, with experience in Accounting. (CPA certification is a plus!) The ideal candidate has the supervisory experience, can work collaboratively in a team environment, possesses an eye for detail, is deadline-oriented, and has exceptional verbal and written communication skills. An established record of problem resolution, advanced Excel skills, and the ability to build efficiencies and streamline processes whenever possible is imperative.

Pay Range: $80,000-$100,000 annually based on a combination of education and experience

Responsibilities:

• Adhere to highest standards and practices to ensure financial documents comply with the law
• Guide accounts receivable and accounts payable personnel in daily tasks
• Manage employee workload and monitor output
• Understand and track company cash flow
• Monitor install and service job documentation
• Support month-end and year-end close processes
• Contribute to department and organizational special projects as assigned
• Establish, modify, document, and coordinate the implementation of accounts payable and accounts receivable procedures
• Assist in creating and/or streamlining existing processes
• Create reports and understand metrics for recurring meetings
• Understand and document the workflow between corporate and local office to create the most efficient work environment

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• 3 years with CPA or 5 years relevant accounting experience, with at least 2 years of supervisory experience
• In depth knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
• Proficiency in Microsoft Suite

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master’s Degree
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) License
