About the team

The Global Statutory Reporting team handles the mandatory submission of financial information to government agencies in more than 50 countries worldwide. 

This is a hybrid role with the expectation of being in the Jacksonville office 3 days a week.

What you will be doing

• Oversee team audit and accounting portfolio for 70 vendors which includes Procurement approval, Engagement letter review, fee approval and adherence to budget.

• Oversee dividend approval process to ensure dividends paid from FIS entities are within legal limits.

• Review and analyze annual audited and non-audited financial statements for multiple international subsidiary companies.

• Participation in annual audits and at times overseeing and coordinating audit requests.

• Research accounting and financial reporting rules and regulations in assigned countries and apply them to assigned companies.

• Manage various ad hoc queries.

• Manage the team’s performance by implementing goals and documenting progress.

• Develop, motivate, and empower staff which includes planning, coaching, recruiting, performance development and mentoring.

What you bring:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.

• 2-3 years of experience managing projects.

• 5 years of accounting and/or audit experience.  Big 4 experience is desirable. 

• Proficient ability to create spreadsheets and proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office and accounting software.

• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

• Knowledge of external auditing processes and procedures as well as accounting principles and financial statements.

• Experience in analytical and statistical examination for complex problem solving and ability to communicate to leadership.

• Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.

• Ability to work in an organized manner and consistently follow-up on tasks.

Added bonus if you have:

• CPA license

• International accounting experience

• Experience managing large projects
