Accounts Payable/Receivable Supervisor is responsible for supervising and guiding the day-to-day operational activities of an organization's accounts receivable and accounts payable functions. Maintains and reconciles the accounts payable and accounts receivable ledger to validate charges and ensure timely and accurate payments and receipt of payments. Being an Accounts Payable/Receivable Supervisor implements standard operating procedures to maintain accurate financial records and control reports. Monitors collection period and sends follow-up inquiries regarding payments for the organization. Additionally, Accounts Payable/Receivable Supervisor negotiates with past-due accounts to resolve all payment issues in a timely manner. Prepares and evaluates applicable accounting reports to identify trends, inefficiencies, and opportunities for cost-savings or process improvements and relays conclusions to management. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager. Under limited supervision, this position is responsible for the processing of accounts payable for Community State Bank and the fixed asset accounting for QCRH and its subsidiaries. Additional responsibilities include assisting in the maintenance of reliable accounting information as a basis for management planning and decision-making and for the fulfillment of financial reporting requirements for QCRH and its subsidiaries.
Ideal candidates will have an associate degree in accounting or related field is highly desirable. Prior accounts payable and fixed asset experience is required. Ability to handle confidential information with tact and discretion. Ability to manage a variety of tasks simultaneously and work independently in order to meet the required deadlines assigned. Proficient in the use of a 10 key calculator and computer applications, including Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
