Accounts Payable/Receivable Supervisor is responsible for supervising and guiding the day-to-day operational activities of an organization's accounts receivable and accounts payable functions. Maintains and reconciles the accounts payable and accounts receivable ledger to validate charges and ensure timely and accurate payments and receipt of payments. Being an Accounts Payable/Receivable Supervisor implements standard operating procedures to maintain accurate financial records and control reports. Monitors collection period and sends follow-up inquiries regarding payments for the organization. Additionally, Accounts Payable/Receivable Supervisor negotiates with past-due accounts to resolve all payment issues in a timely manner. Prepares and evaluates applicable accounting reports to identify trends, inefficiencies, and opportunities for cost-savings or process improvements and relays conclusions to management. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager. The Accounts Payable/Receivable Supervisor supervises a small group of para-professional staff in an organization characterized by highly transactional or repetitive processes. Contributes to the development of processes and procedures. To be an Accounts Payable/Receivable Supervisor typically requires 3 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. Job Summary
Accounts receivable workers are responsible for ensuring all incoming payments are received and processed. This role requires individuals to keep a precise record of all incoming payments and to make contact with clients to ensure outstanding invoices are paid. This role includes billing functions as well, including creating invoices on a daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly basis.
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Other minor duties may be assigned.
