Accounts Payable/Receivable Supervisor is responsible for supervising and guiding the day-to-day operational activities of an organization's accounts receivable and accounts payable functions. Maintains and reconciles the accounts payable and accounts receivable ledger to validate charges and ensure timely and accurate payments and receipt of payments. Being an Accounts Payable/Receivable Supervisor implements standard operating procedures to maintain accurate financial records and control reports. Monitors collection period and sends follow-up inquiries regarding payments for the organization. Additionally, Accounts Payable/Receivable Supervisor negotiates with past-due accounts to resolve all payment issues in a timely manner. Prepares and evaluates applicable accounting reports to identify trends, inefficiencies, and opportunities for cost-savings or process improvements and relays conclusions to management. Position Overview: The Accounts Receivable Supervisor will play a pivotal role in ensuring the financial health of Red Monkey Foods. Responsible for overseeing the accounts receivable function, the successful candidate will be tasked with optimizing cash flow, minimizing bad debt, and maintaining strong relationships with customers. This position reports directly to the Chief Financial Officer and offers an exciting opportunity for a dynamic professional to contribute to the financial success of the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
Accounts Receivable Management:
o Implement and maintain efficient accounts receivable processes and procedures.
o Monitor and analyze accounts receivable aging reports to identify overdue accounts and take
appropriate action.
Credit Management:
o Assess and establish credit limits for new and existing customers.
o Collaborate with sales and customer service teams to evaluate creditworthiness of customers
and make informed credit decisions.
Collections:
o Develop and execute effective collection strategies to minimize overdue accounts and reduce
DSO (Days Sales Outstanding).
o Communicate with customers regarding overdue payments and negotiate payment plans when
necessary.
Customer Relationship Management:
o Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers to facilitate timely payments and
resolve any billing or payment issues.
o Address customer inquiries and concerns related to billing and collections.
Reporting and Analysis:
o Prepare and present regular reports on accounts receivable performance, including aging
analysis, cash flow projections, and bad debt reserves.
o Conduct trend analysis to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
Process Improvement:
o Continuously evaluate and enhance accounts receivable processes to increase efficiency and
effectiveness.
o Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to streamline order-to-cash processes.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
Proven experience as an Accounts Receivable Manager in a consumer goods manufacturing
environment.
Strong understanding of credit management principles and collection strategies.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
Proficient in ERP systems and Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
