Maintains and reconciles accounts payable ledger to validate charges and ensure accurate and timely payments. Being an Accounts Payable Supervisor prepares and evaluates applicable accounting reports to identify trends, inefficiencies, and opportunities for cost-savings and relays the conclusions to management. Implements standard operating procedures to maintain accurate financial records and compliance with accounting policies. Additionally, Accounts Payable Supervisor investigates and resolves discrepancies in billings and payments. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager. The Accounts Payable Supervisor supervises a small group of para-professional staff in an organization characterized by highly transactional or repetitive processes. Contributes to the development of processes and procedures. To be an Accounts Payable Supervisor typically requires 3 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. The purpose of your role as an Accounts Payable Supervisor
The Accounts Payable Supervisor is responsible to provide leadership to our Accounts Payable department. The AP supervisor will ensure that the department operates smoothly, maintains accurate and complete records regarding coding, approval and payment of invoices. As a key member of the Accounting team, this position will serve as the liaison between the AP department, external parties, and internal teams.
This role can be performed hybrid remote or fully in-office, based out of the Harris corporate headquarters in St. Paul, MN or a regional office.
